Happy Honeymoon Days 12 & 13: Doha? I Hardly Know Ha! (And then a whole bunch of air travel)

  Sunday, April 6th, 2025 3:22 PM San Diego, CA The safety video for Qatar Airways was a Kevin Hart joint, which meant I got to watch Kenny glare at the screen in front of him for about 2 minutes. (Actually, Kenny does a pretty solid Kevin Hart impression, but I don't know how hard that is.) Wow! What a safety video! Some highlights: Kevin Hart wants to put his carryon luggage above his seat, but he can't do it and needs a beautiful tall model to help him out. The joke is that Kevin Hart is short! LMAO. When they mention how seatbelts must be seen at all times, even when sleeping, they are for some reason visiting Nairobi. At one point, a wife in a hijab hits her sleeping husband with a shoe! The joke is that the woman hit a man with her shoe. Then we move on to Paris, where we are at a cafe and they are smoking? Turns out we can't smoke on airplanes. The joke is that French people smoke a lot of cigarettes. Next up, we're in New York City, where a guy is trying to vide...

Happy Honeymooning Day 11: Stone Town Revisited

  Thursday, April 3rd, 2025 7:37 PM Zanzibar Airport I am exhausted. I don't have the brain energy for a full update. Suffice to stay, I am so grateful we decided to spend more time in Stone Town. I've never really been in a city quite like it. Friday, April 4th, 2025 7:11 PM Treffen House Hotel, Doha, Qatar Wow, okay, so I'm definitely going to give Doha it's own entry, because otherwise this would be way too long. Let's start with Wednesday night, where Kenny and I, after lounging in our overwater bungalow all day, decided to venture to Paje for dinner. Haji must have been busy and he didn't answer any of my texts, so we called the front desk and asked for a ride to town for dinner. At first, we went to a local food court called Bento, which had seafood, Mexican, pizza, burgers, chicken wings, ramen, sushi, crepes, and ice cream. However, we weren't really feeling it, so we walked around, looking for an Indian restaurant.  Zanzibar feeds its stray animals....
